GHM and RATP modernize Guimard entrances

In collaboration with RATP (Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens), GHM (proud heir to the Val d'Osne foundry, historic supplier to the Compagnie du Métropolitain de Paris) has designed a new range of metro entrances in a search for a contemporary identity with Guimard entrances as part of the "Accès 2023" project, 120 years after the first entrances were installed in the capital. The logic of identity is supported by an assertive curve design and quality materials: ceramics, Comblanchien stone, steel and brass.

The design was entrusted to Studio Aurel Design Urbain, and led to the definition of a range that can be adapted to the different architectural configurations of the entrances.

This new range is deployed at Porte de Clichy, Saint-Ouen, Aimé Césaire, Mairie d'Aubervilliers, Mairie des Lilas and Porte des Lilas stations, and soon at stations on the line 11 extension (including the future Serge Gainsbourg station).
